What We Believe

__________________________________________________________

We believe that all scripture is the inspired word of God and is without error as it appeared in the original manuscripts.  God’s word is truth and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

We believe in the Holy Trinity, one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God created man in His own image.  We believe God created all of the heavens and the earth.

We believe that God so loved the world that He sent His only Son to the earth to be the perfect and only acceptable atoning sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.  This was accomplished through Jesus’ sinless life and death on the cross.

We believe that all people, by nature, are sinful and are unable to save themselves.  We believe that salvation is the free gift of God’s grace (for more information, go to the Salvation page).

We believe that Christians receive the Holy Spirit when their faith is placed in Jesus for salvation. An additional infilling of the Holy Spirit is available to  equip believers with power for evangelism and living the Christian life (for more information, go to the Holy Spirit page).

We believe eternal life awaits all those who put their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

We believe those who reject Jesus’ atoning sacrifice and do not acknowledge Him as God’s Son will face judgment and eternal separation from God.
